What's this?
Who's leading the conversation?
This visualization below allows you to see the impact that each user has on the current conversation. The top row contains the group of users who have had the most impact, the 2nd row the group of users who have had the 2nd most impact (et cetera). Users with similar impact are grouped together, and the average score of the group is shown to the left of the group. The author of the article is also shown on the left, in their corresponding group. Each user's score is based on the number of comments the user has made plus the number of votes their comments have received. The scores are calculated relative one another, so while their absolute value is not particularly important, their relative difference does indicate a larger difference in impact on the conversation.

Oh, and speaking of time: Google Launches Future Search

Google spiders crawl publicly available web information and our index of historic, cached web content. Using a mashup of numerous factors such as recurrence plots, fuzzy measure analysis, online betting odds and the weather forecast from the iGoogle weather gadget, we can create a sophisticated model of what the internet will look like 24 hours from now.

We can use this technique to predict almost anything on the web – tomorrow's share price movements, sports results or news events. Plus, using language regression analysis, Google can even predict the actual wording of blogs and newspaper columns, 24 hours before they're written!

To rank these future pages in order of relevance, gDay™ uses a statistical extrapolation of a page's future PageRank, called SageRank.

    Try it out yourself

I can't get it to work, and it seems like total baloney. Why only ten? Because anymore then 10 would cause us to lose perception of time? what? and it's April 1st. It's gotta be an April fools day joke. :(

    It's not, trust me.

Actually it got me out of quite a tight spot today. I was supposed to send a testimonial into a hotel three weeks ago but it never left my drafts. So I just clicked twice, typed in a nice little date and huzzah, free monies.

Then again, my g-mail account is set to an unusual language so you may want to try that first.

The funny thing is this is almost true. If you reset the time on your computer it will time stamp your emails with the "false" time. This won't work on a webmail system but if you use Outlook it will because a email program that resides on your pc uses your time as the sent time. Haven't tried other email programs but they are most likely the same.

I used this to trick my sister into believing that I'd sent her an email the week before and she just hadn't gotten it, after she tried to guilt trip me about not answering her. She was so pissed at her ISP that emails took so long until I sent her one from the future.

I finally have found a practical use for my flux capacitor. I have been unable to acquire batteries to enable it to function, now, thanks to the brilliant staff of developers at Google, I can schedule many more commitments in my daytimer and take all the time I need to honor them! My wife will never be able to find me but she will always be informed of the things I'm not doing. Thank You so much.

people......the gmail thing Is a hoax, it's their best one yet, the theory abotu 4 to 5 years ago would be ok but now if your useing outlook express or outlook it sorts emails localy based on when it recieved the mail timestamping is for the propertys , for us to be defenate it avrages the times out. if it wasn't for this then answer could be yes it is possable but outlook uses it's own timestamping system NOW (or Currently), it usto be based off of server timestamps but currently most of the timestamps are made by the client (outlook) with some alythogram the only True way to allow post dateing in reality is for the server to broadcast withinn the message a lag time or error time marker in witch case would by default be displayed, unless you have my knowledge and ACTUALLY can send postdeted tmestamps don'y you wish you were a specialist like me.?? i would auction off this infor for users who are like me and lazy, unreliable, dishonist but let's face it , your lazy might not pay me dishonest and might scam me and unreliable and might just not feel like payng.....HAHAHAHAHa

people......the gmail thing Is a hoax,

                    Gee, you think?

True way to allow post dateing in reality is for the server to broadcast withinn the message a lag time or error time marker in witch case would by default be displayed, unless you have my knowledge and ACTUALLY can send postdeted tmestamps don'y you wish you were a specialist like me.??

I'm sort of glad that I'm not a specialist like you because I do know that it is possible for two things to happen.

1.) You can change the clock on your computer and Outlook will time-stamp it when sent. Thus making it appear that you sent it on a different day and time. The time-stamp is not put on at the receiving computer but by the sender's system. I'd be happy to prove that as I have done it a few times as jokes on family members.

2.) The second thing is that I'm able to use the little button at the bottom of the comment box to check the spelling of my comment. Thus avoiding spelling words like: postdated as "postedeted."

Oh, and just an idea, but you might want to use a few periods to break your run-on sentence into individual thoughts. Commas just don't make a good substitute.

does anybody remember the google ISP through the sewage system. I think it was something like TiSP (toilet internet service provider) Actually I just found it. Go to google and search for TiSP
                      www.google.com /tisp (remove the space)
THIS is something funny to read up on, and i was half tempted to buy it at the time just for the hell of it.
